We are having a virtual Career Day at our school. We want to open the event with a specialist who can share with the students details on how to prepare for a career, some ideas on resume writing, and how to prepare for an interview. This presentation will be the overview session. This overview session will last about 20 minutes. After the general session, the students will break out into career specific sessions with eight different careers represented.

The class will be doing college and career exploration over the course of the summer. We will be asking individuals from different careers on different degree paths to give a small talk on the career they do, the education required to do that career, what it's really like, etc.

The Horatio Williams Foundation is running a six-week career exploration program. During these six weeks our participants will have the opportunity to work with career experts in a number of different fields to ensure they have a clear vision of options as their high school careers come to an end.

This is a high school human anatomy & physiology elective course for seniors. It is NOT for college credit, but it is more advanced than high school biology. So far this year we have learned about tissue types, the integumentary system, the skeletal system, and the muscular system. We are just heading into the nervous system. At the end of each unit, we like to highlight disorders and careers that relate to what we are studying. A student requested a presentation from a nurse practitioner specifically. :)

PLTW Principles of Biomedical Sciences We have an upcoming Lesson that focuses on how to handle a Triage Emergency involving multiple injuries. Part of the curriculum involves learning about the job of a variety of nursing careers, including Triage Nurse.
